Christopher Boffoli

An artist & photojournalist who has created a range of miniature everyday scenes using tiny models and foodstuff.

Ben Wilson

Ben began painting gum on Barnet High street, and for the past 6 years has used chewing gum as a canvas for his miniature works of art.

I like how his art makes you look at the environment in a different way.

Eva Hesse

"Don't ask what it means, or what it refers to.  Don't ask what the work is, rather see what the work does." Eva Hesse

As my work was developing for the project 'Make a work that moves from one place to another' I started to create a few designs for a piece that could be sculptural based on the photographs I had taken of the Ink.  My initial design was very similar to work by Eva Hesse.  I was interested in how some of her sculptural work has a very fluid feel to it similar to mine.  Her work was a mixture of handcrafted and machine made - geometric shapes and soft curves.

Nike Savvas

This installation 'Atomic - full of love, full of wonder' is made from thousands of suspended balls, creating an optical effect and was the artists way of portraying that atoms are the fundamental structural unit of all things.

Helmick & Schechter

I was fascinated by these installations - how they are made up of tiny objects which transform to a bigger picture.

Coventry Cathedral

My first thought for 'Use a Building as a Screen' was to look at Coventry Cathedral.  This is an incredible building, with so much history behind it.  It was designed by Sir Basil Spence and filled with art from leading artists at the time including; Graham Sutherland, John Piper, John Hutton, Sir Jacob Epstein, Elizabeth Frink and Ralph Beyer.

John Piper designed the captivating stain glass baptistry window.

The entrance to the building is through the Screen of Saints and Angels - 70ft x 45ft screen of glass etchings designed by John Hutton.

Zaha Hadid

Zaha Hadid - an architect who pushes the boundaries between architecture and urban design.  Her work ranges from urban scale through to products, interiors and furniture.

A large use of curved features give her architectural designs a feeling of fluidity and movement.
