Workshops

Film Workshop:
Learning some of the features of Adobe Premiere Pro.

Vector Workshop:
Using Adobe Illustrator to create vector drawings, and how to convert these into flash images and applying 'motion tween' between 2 images.

Print Workshop:
Monotype, Embossing, Relief Print, Scrafitti.

Casting Workhop:
We made plaster piece mould to cast a wax piece of fruit.

Photography Workshop:

To familiarise ourselves with the digital SLRs, we took a walk through Stirchley with a list of 'themes' to photograph.  The importance was to use the RAW setting, adjust the ISO, aperture or shutter speed, and then use photoshop to edit the RAW image if needed.

Signs of Movement?

Something?

Nothing?

Beautiful?

Ugly?

3D Workshop:

For this workshop we had to work in a team to measure one of the machines in the workshop and make a replica to scale (1:6)   1 sheet of drawings for our initial measurements, and the 2nd sheet diagrams of exactly which pieces needed 'cutting' out and their approximate sizes.

Metal Workshop:

This workshop was very interesting as I had never worked with metal before.  We learnt various techniques, and I tried to apply some of them to make a sculptural piece/sample for one of my field guide projects.

Textiles Workshop:

To familiarise myself with sing the sewing machine, overlocker and embellisher, I created a unique/sculptural garment using old fabric & clothing scraps.
